Celebrating Enterprises Investing in Women: International Women's Day

As we celebrate International Women's Day, the theme "Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress" resonates. Guided by the belief that empowering women leads to the acceleration of societal progress, we are shining a spotlight on the remarkable women-focused enterprises we're supporting through RISE Women.

From providing refuge to asylum-seeking women to promoting financial literacy, amplifying the stories of women worldwide, and to empowering survivors of human trafficking, each initiative is a testament to the power of investing in women.

St. Francis Social Services, operating under the name House of Welcome, is a compassionate organisation dedicated to providing support and refuge to asylum seekers and refugees, with a particular focus on women and families. Their holistic approach encompasses accommodation, advocacy, education, and community engagement, ensuring that vulnerable women receive the assistance they need to rebuild their lives with dignity and resilience.

WorldwideSheroes is a dynamic platform amplifying the voices and stories of women from diverse backgrounds across the globe. It serves as a virtual community where women can connect, share experiences, and access resources to foster empowerment and solidarity. Through innovative initiatives and collaborative efforts, WorldwideSheroes empowers women to break barriers, pursue their dreams, and effect positive change in their communities.

Best Financial Friend is dedicated to promoting financial literacy and empowerment among women. With personalised financial coaching, workshops, and resources, they equip women with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions, achieve financial independence, and build a secure future for themselves and their families.

Women of Colour Australia is a dynamic initiative empowering women from culturally diverse backgrounds to thrive and succeed in various spheres of life. Through mentorship, advocacy, and community-building activities, they provide a supportive platform for women of colour to overcome barriers, embrace their unique identities, and realise their full potential as leaders and changemakers.

Glow Up Careers is a forward-thinking social enterprise committed to bridging the gender gap in the workplace by providing career development and mentorship opportunities for women. Through tailored programs, networking events, and skill-building workshops, they empower women to advance their careers, pursue leadership roles, and thrive in male-dominated industries, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and equitable workforce.

The Freedom Hub is a beacon of hope and restoration for survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery, particularly women and girls. Through their survivor support programs, education initiatives –with the administration of these activities primarily funded by their cafe, event venue and online retail platform– they provide a pathway to freedom, healing, and economic independence. By raising awareness and advocating for systemic change, The Freedom Hub strives to eradicate exploitation and create a world where every woman can live with dignity and freedom.

In a world where gender disparities persist, these enterprises stand as beacons of change, working to uplift and empower women facing disadvantage.
