REIMAGINE IMPACT is a 10 week online social-innovation program, bringing together social purpose organisations with expert facilitators, coaches and corporate leaders. The program will support social purpose organisations who have been affected by COVID-19 to adapt their business models, understand and design services for beneficiariesshifting needs or generate new revenue streams. Simultaneously, REIMAGINE IMPACT will develop the leadership skills of corporate intrapreneurs who have a desire to make a difference.

The Program

THE APPROACH

REIMAGINE IMPACT will take an experiential approach, where leaders will learn from experts and their peers, and apply the design thinking framework to a challenge that your organisation is currently experiencing. Corporate leaders will work collaboratively with the social purpose organisations leveraging their skills and leadership capabilities.  

Social purpose organisations will receive coaching and feedback to embed the new innovation principles, mindsets, and leadership skills within their organisation. 

THE COMMITMENT

  • 10 week program with weekly 90-minute workshops
  • Following Session 3 and Session 6 there will be research and testing to complete independently within your organisation
  • Three online coaching sessions

The Structure

REFLECT
Sessions  1 - 2  

Reflect on your own leadership, disruption, and the idea economy.

EMPATHISE
Session  3  

Focus on deep empathy and understanding users' needs.

DEFINE Session  4  

Define the challenge your organisation is facing and distil insights from your rapid research.

PROTOTYPE
Sessions  5 - 6  

Generate new ideas, create prototypes and seek out feedback from users.

PITCH 
Sessions  7 - 8 

Prepare and practice your pitch to be ready for potential future funding.

Eligibility

 

The program is now accepting applications from social purpose organisations and corporate intrapreneurs. 

Social Purpose Organisations

We highly recommend two leaders participate to support the innovation to be embedded in the organisation after the program.

We recommend participants include: 

  • The CEO (for small to medium organisations)
  • Business Development Director or Senior Executive Leaders responsible for new services, products, or innovation

We are looking for organisations that: 

  • Have been affected by COVID-19 and are looking to adapt and innovate in response 
  • Have the time to commit to the program and support from the board for innovation
  • Have capacity to put their learning into practice by implementing the new ideas and approaches 

We are open to organisations addressing a variety of social issues from disadvantage to environmental issues and there are no restrictions based on DGR or legal status.

Corporate Leaders

We are open to corporate intrapreneurs from a variety of industries, roles and backgrounds.

We are looking for candidates that: 

  • Have the potential to be executive leaders and are looking for experience to further develop their coaching and mentoring abilities 
  • Have a passion for innovation and design, and an enthusiasm to deepen this knowledge 
  • Want to contribute to the social sector and work on a challenge first-hand
  • Are keen to develop their cross-sector leadership skills

The Cost

REIMAGINE IMPACT has been generously supported by The Snow Foundation.  

The price includes 10 weeks of expert facilitation, learning materials, the self-disruptive Korn Ferry Leadership Assessment valued at over $1000, and access to a network of social innovators. 

We highly recommend social purpose organisations nominate two people to participate in the program.

Small Social Purpose Organisations (annual revenue less than $250,000) $500 per organisation

Medium - Large Social Purpose Organisations (annual revenue more than $250,000) $1000 per organisation

Organisation fees exclude GST. Scholarships are available to eligible organisations who are experiencing financial hardship. Requests for scholarships are included in the Application form.

Corporate Leaders $1000 per leader

Experts & Facilitators

Chris Kirby  |  Interim SPO at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Chris has a track record of driving organisational change and sector-wide collaborative approaches to complex opportunities. He utilizes a Human Centered Design (HCD) approach to problem solving. Prior to joining the For-Purpose sector, Chris worked for 20 years in the corporate world, in strategy and new product innovation. He is currently tackling complex global social issues at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. 

Darren Menachemson  |  Global Partner at ThinkPlace

Darren is a Partner at ThinkPlace, a strategic design consultancy operating in five countries, focused on the challenges that matter most to people: social cohesion, economic prosperity and environmental sustainability. For over 20 years, Darren has worked to innovate for public good, designing transformations and interventions that tackle societies’ most complex challenges.

Poppy Rouse  |  Strategy, Innovation & Social Impact

Poppy is a design thinking practitioner, facilitator and innovation consultant who is passionate about unleashing potential in the clients she works with and solving problems that matter. Following an international career spanning marketing, communications, capability and innovation leadership roles, she now works with leaders across the public and private sector applying design thinking to wicked problems.

Philippa Butt  |  Social Impact, Innovation & Service Design

Philippa is an experienced NFP leader with a passion for using innovation to solve complex problems. Following a career working in service management and business development at education and mental health NFPs, she completed an MBA. Alongside this, Philippa has a degree in Anthropology with experience in ethnography and user research.

Chris Lamb  |  Executive, HR thought leader & Leadership Coach

Chris Lamb is a commercial leader driven by opportunities to significantly enhance organisational performance through people and culture. He has an especially strong track record of advancing diversity and inclusion. Chris has more than 25 years of experience in the corporate world and has worked in people and culture with Lendlease, American Express and Westpac. 

Stephen Johnston  |  Partner at Korn Ferry

Stephen specializes in leadership assessment and development, and executive coaching. He has conducted senior leadership reviews, talent development initiatives, and business-wide change programs for clients across various industries with excellent results. Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Stephen held several management positions, most notably as the CEO of Video Ezy. He is also an Advisory Board member for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.  

Jessica Roth  |  Founder and Director at Social Impact Hub 

The Social Impact Hub advises, educates, collaborates and mobilises capital for impact. Jessica supports social enterprises, corporates, NFPs, impact investors and funders to design, support, demonstrate and scale social impact. She is also a consultant to the impact investment sector, having served as the Impact Strategist for Blue River Group and opened the Sydney office of Impact Investment Group. 

Georgina Byron  |  CEO at The Snow Foundation

Georgina has an extensive history working in the philanthropic industry and in the corporate world. Alongside her role as CEO, she is also a Director of Good360 Australia, Sydney Community Foundation and St Catherine's Foundation, as well as Chair of the Sydney Women's Fund Advisory Council and of Philanthropy Australia's Family Foundation Network.
